MedCommons structures communications around the standard
Continuity of Care Record (CCR) and references in the CCR.
The image above shows you what you are sending.

 
         
    Click Edit

You will be editing the standard CCR header elements.

 
         
    Enter Email address
Multiple addresses are separated by commas.
The CCR Purpose will appear as the email Subject.		  
         
    Click Send  
         
    The Email has a Tracking Number link  
         
    Users will need to Sign In or provide a PIN
A user can Register their email address with MedCommons, you can set the PIN before you click Send.		  
         
  HIPAA Note - HIPAA requires all users to have separate passwords. MedCommons uses registration of an email address and selection of a password to prevent forwarding of a tracking number link to multiple recipients. If you want to share access to a HealthURL without HIPAA security, you can assign a PIN and enter the PIN in the Purpose / Subject line. Although not recommended, the same PIN can be used by everyone who receives the email.
